Recently I walked into a park bathroom, and what I saw made me laugh.

This is what I saw.

Ten (10!) rolls of toilet paper.

I immediately thought of the Scout motto: “Be prepared.”

I couldn’t stop smiling.

Later I thought; I must share this picture and link it to a life lesson.  When I was a Girl Scout, a long time ago, I was told that the motto “Be Prepared” meant that I should be ready to help in any situation.

Today as an adult I still need to be prepared to help others, especially in difficult times such as illness, broken relationships, a friend with cancer, a neighbor who is divorcing.

No one escapes life’s difficulties.  Maybe today or tomorrow or next week, a friend or family member or coworker may be grieving or suffering, and you need to be prepared to care for them.

That is where Wisdom of the Wounded can help.  This website is dedicated to what to say and do in the various “down” times of life.

Here are some ways to “Be Prepared”:

May these resources be a blessing to you so that you are prepared to care for a suffering person.

God Bless.
