What would you say?
Charlie Shedd says, “As I made my way up the walk, I heard a woman screaming. Could it be Rebecca? In trouble? Dashing up the steps, I opened the door. There she stood phone in hand, baby in arms, two others hanging to her apron. I will never forget that picture: utter horror, panic, dismay. They were calling from the office to tell her David, her husband, had been electrocuted! Never in my life have I felt so sorry for anyone.”
What can one say at a time such as this? Not much, not right then. All you can do is be there.
