It is a dreary, cloudy, 10 degree in Michigan day!  What should one do with such a grey day?  God says, “Rejoice.”  (Psalm 118:24)

Martha Hammond advises:

Though it’s cold and wet outside, I awoke this morning in a warm, comfortable home.  “Rejoice.”

I was hungry for breakfast (and lunch and dinner).  A blessing, as many do not hunger because of illness, and I have plenty of food.  “Rejoice.”

I had work to do and was able to do it.  “Rejoice.”

I communicated in person and by telephone with my loving family and friends.  “Rejoice.”

I am not in pain. “Rejoice.”

I had the pleasure of doing something good for someone.  “Rejoice.”

My burdens, though they change from time to time, are real.  But, I know that God will help me.  “Rejoice.”

This evening, I will find rest and a peaceful night in the comfort of my warm bed.  “Rejoice.”

“This day is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
