One of the most important ways to help someone who is suffering is to help them tell their story and then listen to what they say.  You know this to be true.  Remember a time when you were struggling–maybe you were angry, depressed or very sad, and then you were able to talk about your situation with a trusted friend.  After sharing your story,  your inner turmoil seemed less consuming.  Remember?  How can you help someone tell their story?
