I just saw on Facebook: Christmas is 28 days away and a panic washed over me. I need to buy the presents for my family and extended family, mail out my Christmas cards and finish decorating the Christmas tree. So many things to do. And then in my congested mind I heard a small voice. I strained to hear it through all the noise of the Christmas “to dos”. “I love you”. “I am here”. “Don’t crowd me out”. As I focused, His voice became stronger and stronger; and I heard him say “Celebrate my gift to you; My Gift of love, salvation, grace, forgiveness, mercy.

Lord, help me focus on you this Christmas and the gift you have given to us. Help me be a reflection of that gift to my family and those around me.
