I Don’t Know Her: A God Nudge Solution

by God Nudge, Wisdom, Wisdom Podcasts0 comments

Often when I wake up early, I think of and pray for each family member.  Well one morning, when I came to my grandson’s wife, Carrie, I stopped. Then it hit me: “I don’t know Carrie, and she doesn’t know that I care about her or am even interested in her.”

That made me feel sad and guilty.  It was then that I received, what I call, a “God Nudge.  It said, “Write Carrie a note.”  (Initially I mentally resisted, thinking, “I don’t know what to say, and wonder if she thinks it is really dumb!”) But God’s nudge was persistent.  Then I wondered how I could get acquainted with her in a note?  She lives in Texas and I live in Michigan. Again, I believe God nudged me with an idea:  “Write a Get Acquainted Questionnaire.”

I did.  And Carrie carefully and thoughtfully filled in out, and so, I am getting to know a new special person.

Now I am thinking of sending the “Kids Getting Acquainted Questionnaire” to my kids and grandkids.  The information is also helpful at birthday time and other gift-giving times.

I invite you to also use this Getting Acquainted Questionnaire (that has a few other questions appropriate for adults) with someone you are “nudged” to get to know better.

Listen and respond to God nudges.  You may have some amazing results.
